Flood Damage From Severe Thunderstorm Impacts Homeowner
Flash flooding from a severe thunderstorm that rolled through the Piedmont Triad area damaged the flooring, walls, and ceiling of a home near the downtown area of the city. Hardwood flooring can respond to water damage differently depending on how long it has been there. If it has been for a substantial amount of time the panels can begin to warp. In the case of this home, the SERVPRO restoration crew had to remove the flooring being that it was damaged beyond repair. The reconstruction team then was tasked with installing new flooring, painting the walls, and finishing the ceiling to the likeness of the homeowner.
