Mold isn’t always visible

Everyone on our team at SERVPRO are trained to clean your home and business to free it from mold and harmful mold spores. At SERVPRO our team will inspect your property looking for any visible signs of mold. Since mold can also hide out of site, our technicians also use technology and equipment specifically used to detect mold and hidden water sources. Once they locate mold, they’ll use procedures in order to contain it and to prevent it from spreading further. If necessary our technicians will isolate the contaminated area with physical barriers and negative air pressure in order to keep mold spores from spreading during the cleanup.  They will use equipment in order to capture microscopic mold spores out of air while the mold remediation is in process.

The type of mold remediation process depends on the amount of mold growth and the types of surfaces on which the mold appears. At SERVPRO we use antifungal and antimicrobial treatments to eliminate mold colonies and to help prevent new colonies from forming. If necessary we will remove mold-infested porous materials, like drywall and carpeting in order to remediate heavy mold growth. If any of your furniture, decorative items, curtains, clothing, and other restorable items are affected by mold we will clean them by using a variety of cleaning techniques. Our technicians are also trained to remove odors and deodorize.

Depending on the level of mold, restoration may involve minor repairs such as replacing drywall, painting, and installing new carpet. It may also entail major repairs such as the reconstruction of various areas or rooms in a home or business.
